Shreyas Iyer (born 6 December 1994) is an Indian cricketer who bats right-handed. He plays for Punjab Kings in the IPL and has represented India in all formats of cricket. Iyer made a great start in Test cricket, scoring a century in his debut match against New Zealand in 2021. He plays for Mumbai in domestic cricket and captained Kolkata Knight Riders from 2022 to 2024. Iyer was part of India’s 2023 Cricket World Cup squad, scoring a century in the semi-finals, and helped India win the 2023 Asia Cup. He also won his first IPL title as captain in 2024.
